“We have never heard this news of God before.” “I am an old woman and I have sinned all my life; can God really forgive all my sins?” “I am bad and I know I will go to hell, but today God will change all of that.” “Which is better, to be born of water or of spirit?” “My heart feels something when I listen to this story.” “You must continue to come and teach us these things.” The Samburu Team writes: “One comment after another confirms that God is at work among the Samburu people. As He opens new doors, mends old relationships, and draws people to Himself, we can only watch and be amazed. People are being reconciled to God through Christ and the simple message of the gospel. Through the stories of Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman and many others, He is making His name and His message known among the people, and they are responding to His call. Thank Him for the open doors, and plead with Him for Samburu believers to be burdened to share the message with others. Ask Him to call out laborers from among them and to give them the wisdom and abilities necessary for the task.”
