Greetings! It is a true pleasure
to be involved in the work of the International
Mission Board as a member of the Development Team.
My experiences of growing up in a small Baptist
church and being active in Sunday School, Training
Union, Sunbeams, and RAs impacted my life significantly.
At the age of 13 I accepted Christ and I have been
involved in local Baptist churches ever since. Having
served as Deacon, Sunday School teacher, RA leader,
Training Union leader and various other positions
of service in the church have bolstered my commitment
to international missions.
My wife, Carolyn, and I currently live in Easley,
SC.
Prior to joining the IMB in January of 2005, I
spent 20 years with Clemson University where I worked
in athletics promotion, marketing, media relations,
development, and governmental affairs. In addition
to my career at Clemson I served as president of
the Easley Baptist Medical Center Foundation and
as president of the South Carolina Baptist Foundation.
I look forward to using my experience to assist
individuals and churches who desire to commit a
portion of their resources to Empowering Kingdom
Growth through the work of the International Mission
Board. For Christians there is no greater opportunity
or clearer mandate than following the Great Commission
and the imperative of Acts 1:8. Too often churches
and individuals fail to grasp the opportunity or
respond to the mandate because the process of directing
their resources is not clear or readily understood.
My goal is to help make that process more accessible
and less difficult. Please feel free to contact
me with any questions you may have regarding your
efforts to help resource the work of the International
Mission Board.
Carolyn and I have two married children, Brett
and CeCe. Brett is married to the former Lisa Stewart
of Pickens, S.C., and they have two children, Mattie
and Stewart. CeCe is married to Brad Bucy of Rock
Hill S.C., and they have a son, Dalton.
