Everything but the kitchen sink

New this year

For this year's International Missions Emphasis, we are thinking outside the box - literally.

The kit is gone. Pastors, old and new, may remember receiving a box each year in preparation for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, Week of Prayer and International Mission Study. The box contained an issue of theCOMMISSION magazine, a video, fliers, missions facts, a resource catalog and the annual report. But the random elements left many churches wondering, "What do we do with this?"

In its place, a planning guide chock-full of resources: It's just as colorful and exciting as the kit of past years but more user friendly and practical. Inside you'll find almost everything but the kitchen sink:
· a planning calendar
· suggestions from other churches on how to promote the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
· compelling stories that can be retold from the pulpit
· a CD with video and PowerPoint resources
· clip art
· strategies for involving numerous church ministries

Additional items you can order: You also will find a resource section that lists posters, videos, maps and books that can enhance your International Missions Emphasis.

How-tos: And you will find tips and insights as to how you can best use the products and services available to you. It's everything you need-except the kitchen sink.

Available: Churches should receive their guides by Oct. 1.
Planning sooner than that? You'll find much of the same material and more on this Web site-but sooner. Check back often to see what's new.
