Ways to use these stories

  • Share them with the Children's, Student's, Adult and Missions Leaders in your church. Search by age group to find age appropriate stories, videos, photos and bulletin inserts. Use them during Sunday School, missions group meetings, home Bible study meetings or whenever you talk about missions.
  • Use them as a part of sermons or missions emphasis.
  • Use the EXTRAs to enhance your outreach, like holding a talent raffle or farmer's market included with the Really tilling the soil story or hosting an online chat room included with the Soccer field, mission field story.
  • Set a Lottie Moon giving goal based on a missionary dollar need featured in one of the stories. For small dollar items, consider increasing your giving based on multiple units of an item used by a missionary (for example, $25/day for meals x 12 days = $300). Display your giving goal with a bulletin insert of the story, plus its photos and map. Track giving toward your goal each week and include that as part of your display. Register your church's offering goal.
  • Read about all the ways you can get personally involved with international missions in this year's Missions Leader's Guide or Pastor's Guide.
