Speaking of missions

Missions by the Book: The power of the Gospel

"For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel -- not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power" – 1 Corinthians 1:17 (NIV).

Quotable: What makes an influential leader?

"It was not that they were good speakers. It was not that they were celebrities. The one thing they had in common was their passion. It was not a career; it was a passion." -- Ken Hemphill, national strategist for the Southern Baptist Convention's Empowering Kingdom Growth emphasis, noting a sociologist's study of influential leaders during the turbulent '70s and '80s.

If you have a passion for reaching the lost, missions may be the place for you. Check it out.
