Prayer

Continue praying for Egypt

When waves of prayer wash away the strongholds of darkness, the Gospel will flow through Egypt like the life-giving Nile. Send a follow-up e-mail to those who participated in the Day of Prayer and Fasting, pointing them to this story and reminding them to continue praying for the peoples of Egypt.

Speaking of missions

Missions by the Book: Ask in prayer

“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” – Mark 11:24

Quotable: A passion for missions

“Without a doubt I would say there is more than a heart for missions among the people of Mount Vernon – there is a passion for missions. And that passion is driven by the biblical values of the Great Commission and the urgency of sharing Christ with people of every tongue, tribe and nation.” – Allan Blume, senior pastor, Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Boone, N.C., which gave the most per capita -- $243.74 per member – of any Southern Baptist Church to the 2005 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering
