Within a matter of days, three natural disasters – a hurricane, a volcanic eruption and an underwater earthquake – delivered blows to the people of El Salvador, Guatemala and surrounding areas in Central America.

● Leader, browse the Web for resources and ideas not in the planning guide and on the CD-ROM.
● Meet with the IME team. Share the vision for your church’s participation in the emphasis and discuss available resources.

“I’d like to thank all of you for my friend, Kremena. This Sunday she will be baptized and become the 13th member of our church! Praise be to the Father! Last night at Bible study she was sharing her testimony. She commented on how fast the whole thing happened for her. I just laughed. In the spring of 2002 she started coming to English class. In the spring of 2003 she started coming to a Bible study for young adults. In the spring of 2004 she was saved! Because of the objections of her family, she wasn’t baptized last summer, hoping they would eventually relent and accept her decision. Of course, we pray they will eventually become believers. This year she will be baptized even though her family still strongly objects.
