That all peoples may know Him
 |
| House church leaders in Q-city, China, come from all walks of life. As Oliver and Joy Graham* have mentored leaders who have mentored others, new churches are growing strong, able to thrive without the Grahams' leadership. |
On the front row of a ‘God thing’: Oliver Graham in China
Three years ago, Oliver Graham* had the perfect job as a medical sales rep with top-dollar contracts. But when God got the Grahams’ attention for overseas missions, all they could say was “yes.” Today, they’re helping start a ‘people explosion’ in China. Read more.
*Name changed for security reasons.
The Grahams are among those you support through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. Pray for them during the Week of Prayer, Dec. 4-11.
Have you considered a career change for missions?
An Eternal Investment
“In the medical field, you have to respond to acute crisis; that’s what emergency rooms are for. But you also need the whole rest of the hospital.” – That’s how one missionary reminds us that some of the world’s greatest needs will never appear on the news.
Remind your congregation of the importance of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® and Cooperative Program with “An Eternal Investment,” one of four brief promotional spots on the Web and on the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering DVD included in this year’s pastor’s and leader’s guides.

Speaking of missions
Missions by the Book: Missionaries commissioned
“While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off” – Acts 13:2-3, NIV.
Quotable: “We don’t have to be on the shelf after 50 …”
“But we are thankful, and we’re grateful that there’s a program that would allow us to go. We are just thankful that we don’t have to be on the shelf after 50, or after 60 years of age.” – IMB trustee Laurelle Stoudenmire, who is going to serve with her husband in Guatemala as part of the Masters Program
Learn more about the Masters Program for those 50 and older.
Illustration: Southern Baptists’ support makes dream a reality
Workers in Swaziland in Southern Africa were able to have Sunday School discipleship literature translated because of support through the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering and the Cooperative Program. The material will be used for Swazi children in Baptist churches, and teachers are receiving special training to use the material.
“Rejoice with the Swazi Team, as now there are Bible stories in the heart language of the Swazi people,” says one worker.
The Bible translation into siSwazi, the Swazi people’s language, was completed in 1994. Since then, workers have been waiting for discipleship material to be translated. Southern Baptists’ faithful support made this dream a reality.
