That all peoples may know Him

How do you promote giving to missions in Sunday School?
Some of you sent us some great ideas for tracking progress toward the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® goal — visuals that have worked in your church. We’re revising ime.imb.org and plan to share your ideas there with other churches. Thanks for your help! This week, tell us how you’ve involved Sunday School classes in promoting the offering.

In Germany, M-Fuge youth tackle barriers to share gospel
Most high school and college kids who visit Cologne, Germany, come to see the sights and have a good time in this sprawling city on the Rhine River. But 75 American high school and college students there in July had a higher aim: Learning how to lead people to Christ in the German city. Read more.

True Love Waits takes Olympic stage; event to be broadcast on Web

The event will feature several athletes, including Carl Lewis — named the greatest Olympian of the 20th century — and 1988 gold medalist Joe Deloach. The event begins at 5 p.m. and will be taped and available that evening for viewing via the Internet at www.truelovewaits.com and at www.lifeway.com/news.

It’s a joy to share their new faith

When two Hungarians became believers earlier this year, the missionary team seeking to reach Budapest, Hungary, began praying that they would grow in their faith and develop a desire to reach other Hungarians for the Lord. Last month, they saw God answer those prayers when the new disciples helped the team with two outreach projects. One shared his testimony publicly in front of more than 50 people and privately with several individuals. He said afterward that it gave him great joy to share with others! The other new disciple opened her home to two follow-up groups that will meet weekly to study the Bible. She also begged the missionaries to let her lead another group, saying, “I have seen you do it. I know the stories, and I want to do this!”
