Simple prayers bless beggars
One recent afternoon, a group of Southern Baptists in India
went out to prayerwalk in the surrounding community. A few
members of the group sat down next to some Muslim beggars
in front of a mosque. One member of the group asked the beggars
for permissions to pray aloud for them. One of the beggars
began to cry, saying that no one had ever asked to do that
for him before. After the group finished praying, the beggars
shared how they felt that their burdens had been lifted.
These beggars represent thousands in India who are lonely
and desperate for hope. Southern Baptists should continue
to pray that more missions teams minister to those in need
of Jesus’ love.
