People Group Focus: The Chavacano of the Philippines

The Chavacano are proud of their history and their distinctive language. Most Chavacano are Catholic, an impact of the Spanish and Jesuit influence in the Philippines, but there are a small but growing number of born-again believers among this group. The Chavacano love music and one great need is for Christian songs to be written and produced in the Chavacano dialect. Read more about the Chavacano . . .

Bible Study: Jesus' Spin on Harvest Fields

Summer is more than half over now and maybe you're getting discouraged about how much (or little) of an impact you seem to have had for Jesus so far this summer. "Don't grow weary of doing good for the Lord!" Paul told the Thessalonians. He also said to the Corinthians, "Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord because you know your labor in the Lord is not in vain." You are probably smack-dab in the middle of a harvest field - as Jesus defined "harvest" - so don't be discouraged! Read more about how Jesus views your harvest field . . .
