What Are Your Team’s Work Processes
and How Can They Be Improved?

Work processes are a set of related work activities that change inputs to outputs. The outputs should contribute directly to the effectiveness of the team among the team’s primary recipient of ministry or service. These processes relate directly to the team’s vision and key result areas. They focus sharply on those processes that influence the organization and team’s ministry in a significant way.

The challenge is to map all of the processes to identify the key activities performed in each one. This provides help in analyzing every key activity to discover solutions for improvement and to eliminate waste and delay. Once opportunities for improvement are identified, specific written action plans are developed to effect these improvements. Mapping the processes helps to determine who makes what decisions and how.
