MOSCOW, RUSSIA (MOS-coh). The Moscow Antioch Team asks you to pray for God’s blessing on an evangelistic strategy in the Butova region, in the Southern Administrative District of Mosocw. There are at least 500,000 people living in this district, with no evangelical churches or work to this date. Two families of Baptist representatives, the Pulliams and Carneys, are focusing on church planting in this region of Moscow. These representatives have compiled a religious survey based upon several verses of the Bible. They will approach people on the streets and stores, seeking to engage them in spiritual discussions. Pray that God will prepare hearts in advance to be interested in further Bible study. They also ask you to pray for two different volunteer teams who will be coming the first week of April to conduct spiritual surveys and street witnessing in this region. Ask God to give them divine contacts with those who would like to study God’s Word during these evangelistic events. http://www.reachmoscow.org/

MUSLIMS: PRAYING BEYOND THE WALL. In some people groups, Muslim women are coming to Christ, but their husbands have not yet believed. In other groups, men have believed, but their wives have yet to make personal faith commitments. Pray for these families to be complete in Christ. May their homes reflect God’s truth and love, becoming beacons of light in their communities.

TAIWAN. Pray for Christians and seekers in Taiwan as Tomb Sweeping Day (also known as Ancestor Worship Day) approaches, April 5. During the first week of April, and especially on that day, families will gather at tombs to clean them and perform family ancestor worship rituals. There will be a tremendous amount of pressure on Christians and seekers whose family members are traditional Chinese Buddhist to join in these rituals or be rejected by the families. This is an especially critical and difficult time for new believers, student believers, and seekers who have not yet made a firm decision to follow Christ. Pray for the 23 million people of Taiwan who are bound in the darkness of tradition and blinded to the truth of Jesus Christ as they seek blessings from ancestors and spirits rather than turning to the One True God.

Two rotating teams will work in new work sights in Sangre Grande and Chaguanas. Pray for a joyful ministry and for many persons to come to know our Lord as Savior.” http://www.ilovejesus.com/missions/ttbaptist/

VENEZUELA. A team of youth will arrive in Venezuela on April 1 to work with IMB missionaries in the southwestern sectors of Caracas known as Caricuao and Antimano. This group of young people will prayerwalk, conduct social-service projects, map new areas, and gather information that churches in the United States might use to pray for specific barrios (neighborhoods). Please pray for the safety of this team, as they may be working in difficult areas. Also, remember missionaries Mark and Elizabeth Bethune, journeymen Carrie Thomas and Lisa Kluttz, and International Service Corps worker Chanda Locklear as they follow up on contacts made during the mission trip. http://www.caracaspoor.net/

WESTERN PACIFIC. A Baptist association in one Western Pacific country will be holding its week-long annual meeting of churches this month. A missionary writes: “This meeting is a highlight of the year! This year, we will be partnering with a team from Alabama. Team members will be leading Bible studies and worship for the adults, leading a youth camp, and teaching classes for the children. There is also a doctor on the team who will be conducting a free clinic for those attending Camp Meeting. Pray that this will be a time of encouragement for the believers of the association. Pray that they will be strengthened in their walk with the Lord. Pray for the team as they travel. Pray that it will not rain during Camp Meeting! Much of the meeting area is outdoors.”

WORLD LEADERS. “I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness” (1 Timothy 2:1-2). Please pray today for Prime Minister John Winston Howard of Australia (between South Pacific and Indian Oceans).

ASHENINKA OF PERU (ah-SHIN-uh-kah). An Evangelical Bible Institute in Pucallpa that ministers to the native people groups in the jungle has asked the Asheninka Strategy Group to teach a course on chronological Bible storying next semester. Pray for this 10-week course that begins the first week of April. Pray that the group will study and prepare themselves to teach this course to several people groups—this includes several Asheninka leaders, also. http://www.geocities.com/Tarzan_pe/

RUSSIANS OF KHABAROVSK, RUSSIA (hah-BAH-rovsk). The first day of each month has been set aside by the Khabarovsk Team as a day of prayer and fasting for the Russians of the Khabarovsk territory. Their prayers will be joining the prayers of many others around the world for this people group. “God forbid that I should sin against the Lord in ceasing to pray for you” (1 Samuel 12:23). Pray for the lost of the Khabarovsk territory, that God will start a mighty work in their hearts and bring them to Himself. In July, evangelistic crusades will be held in Khabarovsk and Komsomolsk, as well as three other cities in the Russian far east: Vladivostok, Blagoveshensk and Chita. Pray for the millions of lost people in these areas, that through contacts with Christian friends, God will soften their hearts to the gospel. Pray that all barriers to Christ will disintegrate and changed lives will result from an encounter with the living Messiah. http://www.khabarovskhorizons.com/

FULBE/FUTA JALON OF GUINEA (FUL-bay/FOO-tuh jah-lone). A seeker is under serious attack. Lately, this man has become more and more serious about walking with the Lord, saying things like, “I tried to do what Jesus would have me do.” During the last month, one of his wives began having seizures, his other wife left him, one of his daughters was threatened by a deranged suitor, and his son was thrown in jail. Please pray that he will make a definite commitment to Jesus. Pray that he will not grow discouraged as he travels along this path to the Lord.

WAYUU OF COLOMBIA AND VENEZUELA (why-YOO). The Wayuu Team writes: “Thank you for your continued prayers for the multiple showings of the ‘Jesus’ film in Wayuunaiki. The Lord is truly blessing. Up to now, the film has been shown in nine rancherias (small family villages) where we have churches, one new rancheria, and two towns. More than 2,200 people have seen the film, with 70 people publicly accepting Christ. We are now moving, by way of family relationships, to rancherias where there are no churches. Thanks to the Lord, four presentation teams each have equipment to show the film, beginning Easter week. Please pray with us that these teams will be well received and, even more importantly, the Good News they bring will be not only well received but also believed.”

KARAMOJONG OF UGANDA (CARE-ah-muh-jong). Missionary Terry Singletary covets your prayers for her family. She writes: “My first inclination is to say that the demons are stirring things up! We urgently need people to support us, as several issues are pursuing us: There is a conspiracy against us to keep us from getting water for our compound. Please pray for a woman who I have been told is behind all of it. We suspect that she is a witch doctor. People in general here in Moroto town have become very rude to us lately for no apparent reason. Our new converts to belief in Jesus Christ are being targeted for abuse from local people who are jealous of the work being done and peoples’ hearts being changed. Pray for their protection and spiritual growth. Please pray for Larry (her husband) as he and a team minister to a village called Kodonyo, where the people are believing and coming to Christ—probably the reason for all the warfare against us.” http://www.littlestar.com/karamoja/

BURYAT OF RUSSIA (BOO-ree-aht). You have been praying with the Buryat Team as they have been traveling back and forth to a village where they are working in a school/orphanage. Please pray again this month as they go to the village to work. As they have traveled to this village twice a month since September, they have desired to begin some kind of a Bible study. So far, there has been no interest. The team is planning to start sharing some Bible stories with any who are interested on Sunday evenings when they are in the village. Please ask the Lord to work in the hearts of the Buryats who live in this village. Ask Him to reveal how He is working in the village to the team so they can join Him in what He is doing. Ask the Lord, who opens doors that no one can shut, to open the doors into the hearts and homes of the people in this village.
