Gospel Advance in Least-Reached Places
Project Overview
Whether walking the crowded streets, driving in the urban centers, or trekking in remote villages of South Asia, stone alters with images of false deities are everywhere. Hindus seek in vain for release from day-to-day suffering and favor for an eternity that they view as an endless cycle of reincarnation. Followers of Islam strive in vain to appease a god of wrath while Buddhists attempt to attain Nirvana through their good works. None of these spiritual seekers knows about the love, redemption, and eternity promised through Jesus Christ.
This project intends to change that sad reality through a unique oral-storying format to inject God’s Word among some of the most gospel-deprived peoples on earth across South Asia. National believers and IMB missionaries are identifying and translating Bible story sets that represent the entire redemptive panorama of Scripture from Genesis to the early church. Your gift will assist with story-set translation and underwrite the recording of the story sets into an oral format. As the story sets become available, person-to-person storytelling will exponentially multiply gospel distribution as non-believers hearing the stories for the first time share them with their families and villages. With your help, the oral Bible can be completed in its entirety in only twenty-four to twenty-seven months. Give today to partner with this project so the gospel can go out soon to some of the most gospel-deprived peoples on earth living in South Asia.
