Disciple Making

Christ’s command to “make disciples” is at the center of the Great Commission. Disciple making is foundational to everything we do at the IMB. Disciples are those who have joyfully committed themselves to follow Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord and they follow him in making disciples. They have God’s Spirit living in them to help them. The Holy Spirit helps them grow in their faith, godly desires, humble obedience, sacrificial service, and missional engagement. Disciple making is the duty of every disciple of Jesus.

Disciple making includes evangelizing unbelievers, baptizing believers, teaching them the Word of Christ, and training them to obey Christ as members of his church who proclaim the gospel and make disciples among unreached peoples and places.
