Mid-Term Opportunities

2 MONTHS – 3 YEARS

Serve overseas for 2 months to 3 years with IMB

Team Member

Team Members are fully funded missionaries who receive full benefits and services as IMB employees. They serve mid-term commitments with 1, 2, or 3-year terms.

Team Associate

Team Associates are missionaries funded by personal savings, an existing job, or another organization. They serve full-time or part-time, typically for 1+ years, though students may serve less.

Journeyman

IMB offers a fully-funded, 2-year missions opportunity for young adults ages 21-29. As a Journeyman, you’ll be sent by your church to join an international team, sharing the gospel, making disciples, and planting churches.

Project 3000 Missionary Exploer

Missionary Explorers are fully-funded, 2-year team members who research and engage unreached people groups, sharing the gospel and documenting key cultural data.

Due to the volume of requests that we receive, we ask that you submit your request at least 90 days in advance for an in-person speaker, or 60 days in advance for a virtual speaker.

Please note, Paul Chitwood, IMB President, often has a full speaking itinerary. However, other leadership and missionaries of IMB may be available to speak at your upcoming event.

The giving goal of the 2024 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® is $205 million.

We are committed to providing accurate and appropriate references on every former IMB employee. The IMB strongly encourages any church, school, or entity that works with children who is considering working or partnering with a former IMB personnel to contact the IMB to obtain an informed reference on that individual.
