Advancing the Gospel through Social Media

Implement innovative social media strategies to engage unreached North African and Middle Eastern people with the gospel.

Yousef* read about Jesus on his social media app and contacted the app creator, a long-term worker in the Middle East, to learn more. The worker led Yousef to faith in Christ and discovered that he lives in a building where the team has been praying and working for years with no fruit. Their connection through social media led to the first Bible study group which is now on the way to becoming a church.

Disillusionment and frustration among North African and Middle Eastern peoples with their social, political, and spiritual situation are provoking questions and creating a hunger for answers. Finding those answers is often difficult and sometimes even dangerous, so many turn to the internet for answers. God is working in their hearts, and we must find creative ways to help them find Jesus online where they are looking. Your gift will provide three years of start-up and operating costs for NAME teams to build social media engagement platforms.

Social media is becoming a powerful tool for finding those in whom God is working and leading to evangelism, discipleship, and church planting among NAME peoples! Several teams working among NAME peoples have adopted social media engagement strategies with encouraging results, proving the validity and effectiveness of this strategy. Your partnership and support will enable all NAME teams to add social media strategies to their master church planting plans. Give today so those seeking spiritual answers across Northern Africa and the Middle East will find Christ.

Location

Northern African and Middle Eastern Peoples

Northern Africa and the Middle East is consistently thrust into the international news as it develops into one of the world’s most enigmatic-but-influential global regions. Vast economic development typifies it's urban centers, offering creative business opportunities for entrepreneurs.

Religious life permeates every society here, whether its residents are Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. Though Christianity began in this cradle of civilization, it is sometimes difficult to know if the church exists. Cities that birthed the gospel now house ornate mosques, temples, and skyscrapers. Thankfully, the church is experiencing a captivating resurgence among this region's 520 unengaged and unreached people groups.

Millions of refugees live here, displaced by war, famine, oppression, or poverty. Many are open to the gospel, seeking an anchor amid the upheaval of their lives. Pray for Christian workers as they share the hope of the gospel during this unprecedented spiritual openness.
