In contrast to its breathtaking natural beauty, Austria’s spiritual landscape is a dark, barren wasteland. Austria’s shame culture enslaves people into fear and passivity, particularly regarding faith. Of every 250 people, 249 do not know Christ. The majority are convinced that the gospel of Christ is simply an outdated fairy tale. Existing churches deeply feel the impact and, as a result, have become more dependent on foreign leadership than is healthy.Deeply moved the spiritual poverty here, our team senses the Lord calling us to contribute to the advancement of the gospel in Austria by:
• Proclaiming the gospel of Christ
• Walking with Christ-followers in discipleship, helping them become capable and courageous proclaimers of the gospel who disciple others
• Partnering with local Christ-followers to plant churches
• Developing leaders and church planters to be multipliers of faith, disciples, churches and missionaries
A critical characteristic of our work is that we do not lead FOR our local faith family but gently walk WITH them to mobilize them to grow in faith and courage. The goal is for them to own their faith and assume more and more stewardship of the Great Commission for their own country and beyond into Europe and the world.We invite you to join us in reaching the lost and serving the church of Austria. Austrian churches lack local leaders! Our team’s approach is specifically designed to counteract this unhealthy reality by mobilizing and nurturing local leaders who will invest in the next generation of leaders. We are convinced that widespread awakening and healthy churches will not happen until there is local leadership pursuing the Great Commission. "Heart Language" Tools for Evangelism
The most powerful gospel communication is tailored to the linguistic – and cultural! – reality of the hearer. Austria’s Esoteric community is the largest in Europe. Vienna’s largest community is blue-collar workers. Austria’s overall culture is post-Christian. You can reach all these groups with the good news by helping us research and develop effective tools to communicate the gospel to these groups in its most personally meaningful expression.
"Let's Meet for Coffee" - The Powerful Role of Food
It is said in Austria that “everything works through relationships.” In Austria, relationships are formed and cultivated over food (especially coffee). Hospitality in homes, cafes, church events, and parties represents a vital piece of our ministry to the hearts of unbelievers and believers alike. Your gift buys the coffee, food, and supplies for our team to invest in developing hundreds of relationships.
Agnes* and Elias* sat down on a couch, nervous but excited to share their story. We angled the camera tripod and got everyone miked up for the interview.
Over the next four hours, the couple talked about their spiritual journey through the occult, drugs, and esotericism. So much time and money wasted!
They eventually found Jesus through a friend’s social media post about how Jesus transformed her life, brought her joy and peace, and showed her life’s purpose.

Their journey of spiritual wandering is inspirational for those struggling to share their faith with others. Their story also highlights the many Austrians seeking the Savior.
As Austria has become a center for esotericism and the New Age movement, opportunities for evangelism increase. Jesus says, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20). We know the answer Austrians seek!
