Water is a vital ingredient for life. Yet, clean, safe, and abundant drinking water is a luxury in many communities in rural East Asia. Fertilizer and sewer water seeps into water systems, contaminating the areas drinking water. Some villages do not have water pipes, and villagers must walk miles to a water source.
Ceramic water filter distribution provides safe drinking water at a low cost. A ceramic water filter removes the harmful bacteria from the water and provides more than enough drinking water for a family. National churches who have a burden to care for and share with people in the rural villages disburse the filters and share the gospel with them in their homes. Your gift will supply the filters and the training for local believers to distribute the filters or lay water pipes, if necessary. In this way, local churches will make a long-term impact with the gospel in rural communities throughout this region.

From the skyscrapers of Hong Kong to the vast plains of Mongolia, East Asia is rich with 5,000 years of history and a bold vision for the future. This region, comprised of China, Japan, Mongolia, North and South Korea, and Taiwan, represents one-fourth of the world’s population and houses four of the world’s most populous cities.
Though East Asia has contributed some of the world’s most revolutionary ideas and valuable technology, the name of Christ remains unknown to hundreds of millions among its 213 unreached and unengaged people groups. Buddhism, ancestor worship, animism, Daoism, Hinduism, and Islam blind the people to Christ's truth. Only a tiny percentage among these East Asian people groups are Christian.
Pray that great breakthroughs will occur so that many of these yet-unreached people will call on the name of the Lord and be saved.
