Discipleship is vitally necessary when new believers come to faith out of the predominant religion in a particular part of the Asian Pacific Rim region. A team of long-term workers there recognizes that a primary deficiency in the life of the traditional church is ongoing, fruitful discipleship. Over the years, they have seen a significant number of people come to faith in Christ, but those that show the fruit from their faith through daily allegiance to Christ are few and far between. 

Your gift to Engaging the Edges of Lostness will provide the funds needed to train believers who need more intensive discipleship. One training will focus on heart issues in our lives and the lives of others. Another will cast God’s vision for a healthy church and each believer’s role in evangelism, discipleship and church planting. Finally, your gift will enable the team to offer an annual prayer retreat for cross-cultural workers throughout the islands as a means of spiritual renewal and refocusing on their call.

The team hosting these events recognizes that special times for intensive discipleship and spiritual renewal are rare.
