Please pray for Sister Sabeen*, a Muslim-background believer in our area. She lives alone while her husband is working in another country. After Sabeen’s brother learned that she had become a believer, he beat her and broke her cell phone since she listened to the Bible through an SD card on her phone. Others in her community also came against her and tried to discover additional families listening to the Bible. Many local believers, including Brother Mahesh*, prayed for Sabeen, and after two months, they finally received a text message from her. She had secretly gotten a phone from her daughter. She provided a new phone number and asked Brother Mahesh to please send more memory cards so that she could continue sharing the “According to the Scriptures” gospel story. Sister Sabeen regularly gets warned that she will be killed; however, she is still strong in her faith and doing evangelistic Bible studies in her totally Muslim community using the SD card your generosity provided her. Please pray for Sister Sabeen and praise God for her boldness!
Sister Shipra* and Sister Mamta* are Muslim-background believers doing amazing work for the Lord despite much hardship. Both ladies hold house fellowships in their homes—Sister Shipra has three evangelistic Bible studies, and Sister Mamta has two. Please pray for them. The Muslims in their village are against them, but these ladies are strong and have decided they will not turn back.
Sister Shipra said: “It’s difficult for you to be in our village, but we are able to meet house-by-house for fellowship and Bible study. Pray God protects us as we reach our village house-by-house. Also, pray that one day we (believers) will be the majority in this village.” Sister Mamta also said to thank you for the SD cards. She is illiterate, and she said that using the memory card in her phone helps her do Bible study with other Muslim ladies without anyone noticing that she can’t read. Praise God with us that Muslims Background Believers are reaching Muslims house by house!

South Asian peoples live within a kaleidoscope of colors, a cacophony of sounds, and a buffet of flavors that ignite the senses and warm the soul. This enigmatic region is the birthplace of four world religions but is also home to the world's highest concentration of lostness.
The 1.6 billion people of South Asia are concentrated in an area less than half the size of the USA. Muslims and Hindus comprise the overwhelming religious majority. Every week 225,000 South Asians die, most without Christ. Yet there are glimmers of gospel hope. Through the work of local Christians and foreign workers God is bringing South Asians to faith in Jesus, the church is growing, and stories of Christ’s redeeming power are emerging from the field.
More than a billion South Asian eyes are searching for hope. Pray for long-term workers and their local partners who share the love of Christ daily. Ask God to use their efforts to create a movement of his Spirit across the city and throughout countries and islands of South Asia!
