Dr. Naylor Preach & Heal through Medicine Fund

Meet physical and spiritual needs globally, often in restricted-access places by mobilizing, training and equipping medical professionals.

Lucy* was in college when she realized that her nursing major would dovetail with her new understanding that God calls all believers to make disciples among the nations. She went on several medical mission trips and now serves as an IMB medical missionary.

“It’s really unique . . . to be able to combine health care with missionary work,” Lucy said, adding that medical missions gives her “a reason to be in countries that are harder to get to, but also as a way for me to love, meet needs and share truth.”

Medical missionaries uniquely blend the meeting of physical and spiritual needs. Your partnership with Preach and Heal through Medicine will enable IMB medical missionaries to carry out their specialized ministry while training local healthcare workers to be missionaries through medicine. Your gift will provide continuing education and annual licensure renewal for field workers and underwrite the cost of conferences and mobilization events. You will also assist strategic healthcare projects by purchasing equipment needed at a hospital or clinic and translating medical missions materials used at events and trainings.

Your generosity to Preach and Heal through Medicine will fund medical missions across the world. You will help IMB medical missionaries and local medical personnel save lives temporally and enable them to introduce patients to Christ for eternal salvation. Pediatrician Sarah Lull, a former medical missionary to East Africa, asserts, “Christ went to heal the sick and the lame and the poor, so he could heal their inner need, which was spiritual. Medicine is such a great avenue to share the gospel.” Prayerfully consider how God would have you give today to this global healthcare and gospel initiative.
