Develop Bible story sets into thirteen languages spoken by Arab peoples.

About This Project
Although Scripture is available in Modern Standard Arabic, most Arabic speakers do not understand or speak it. Without Bible stories in their own version of Arabic, they are functionally Bible-less. Your gift will provide access to the Bible for thirteen languages spoken by Arab peoples by creating accurate, recorded Bible stories that communicate clearly in the heart language of the people. Story Together projects emphasize sharing Bible story sets in the natural storytelling style of the people group for greater comprehension. These languages are closely related, but due to cultural, political, and dialectal differences, separate projects are needed for each dialect.
The Bible stories are part of a church planting strategy that includes evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development. Your partnership with this ministry project will strengthen the local church’s discipleship efforts and result in a unified body of local believers who are obedient to God’s Word and equipped to share stories from God’s Word. Why direct giving matters
Giving directly to a missionary team helps fund the specific, on-the-ground needs your missionaries care deeply about—needs that aren't covered by CP and LMCO alone.
Thank you so much for your generosity to this ministry and the Arabic-speaking people God calls us to reach with the gospel. Because of your prayers and sacrificial giving, we are delivering Bible stories in the heart language of these people, bringing Jesus to many who are functionally Bible-less. This ministry also strengthens the local church’s discipleship efforts, resulting in a unified body of local believers sharing stories from God’s Word.
We have seen God use this ministry in powerful ways. Since most of our population is functionally illiterate, having 50 Bible stories on their phones in their everyday Arabic vernacular has been a game changer.
We use these stories both for evangelism and discipleship. Since the stories are accessible on smartphones—which almost everyone has—they are always available but also hidden away from prying eyes. As a result, both seekers and believers can use them without fear.
Additionally, we use these stories as a part of our social media advertising campaigns: We blanket an area with part of a video Bible story to engage the lost in locations we could otherwise not reach. Once people see our advertisement using the story, they click on a link for additional stories or to talk with some of our national believers trained to engage genuine seekers. When a true seeker is identified, we arrange face-to-face meetings with our national partners, so these seekers can hear the gospel and, if they become believers, be discipled as well.
A Life Changed by Your Generosity. Abbud* was born into the majority religion here. He saw advertisements on social media created through “StoryTogether Bible Stories in Arabic.” He watched several videos and began engaging with our national partners online. After several online discussions, we arranged for him to meet one of our national partners in the city where he lived at an in-person meeting. At that encounter, he heard the gospel and became a follower of Jesus! He is now being discipled using the 50 Bible stories in the local Arabic dialectic created by this project. Your gifts to this ministry were instrumental in his introduction to the Word of God and his continuing discipleship. Thank you!
Next Steps. We are in the process of creating additional video Bible stories in the local dialect, adding to the 50 previously created. This process requires significant time, energy, and financing as we use a script-creation team, hire professional voice actors, and use professional recording studios and video editors to create each new Bible story video. But these efforts are paying off as God is using the 50 Bible stories previously created throughout our area to communicate His offer of salvation. More and more people are utilizing our website to hear God’s Word in their native language every day.
Thank you for your generosity and prayers. Your sacrificial gifts and intercession truly transform lives as we partner together to solve the world’s greatest problem, lostness.
*Name changed.
Those who speak these 13 Arabic languages live in areas where religious tensions, civil strife, political turmoil, and economic hardship have been intense for the last several years. COVID-19 has further complicated their lives. Just surviving consumes most people’s energies. However, your generosity brought trauma healing projects to these language groups. Long-term workers use a trauma healing process based on proven mental health principles and Bible storytelling in small, caring groups. We see encouraging signs in local people who find hope through biblical stories.

Prayer Requests
Many people in the Bible were doing ordinary, everyday things when God called them to serve Him in a special way. Is God calling you? Could He be leading you to serve Him among the peoples of Northern Africa and the Middle East? View the video.
In the next five years, a globalization goal of all IMB workers is to mobilize 500 local believers to become global missionary partners serving on IMB teams.
