While the number of people who have heard the gospel is increasing every year in Northern Africa and the Middle East, many more national leaders must be trained to create healthy, sustainable and reproducing churches. IMB leaders agree that God will win NAME peoples through NAME peoples. This project will allow qualified personnel to instruct NAME believers in leadership development and the steps of the missionary task (entry, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, leadership development, and exit to partnership). Your gift will underwrite training costs, including transportation, lodging and food for trainers and participants. Your partnership will also provide extra training to IMB personnel as well as GCC and expatriate partners, preparing them to reach and train nationals, who can then reach and disciple other nationals.
Trainers will cast the vision to participants that the churches they plant will train and send out others who can plant more new churches, train others and send out more workers into the harvest. With God’s help, this model of reproducing healthy churches will continue throughout NAME and to the ends of the earth, until the region and of the world have been reached with the gospel. Give today equip nationals and missionaries to implement strategies that flow through Northern Africa and the Middle East to the peoples of the world!
North Africa and the Middle East is consistently thrust into the international news as it develops into one of the world’s most enigmatic-but-influential global regions. Vast economic development typifies its urban centers, offering creative business opportunities for entrepreneurs.
Religious life permeates every society here, whether its residents are Muslim, Christian, or Jewish. Though Christianity began in this cradle of civilization, it is sometimes difficult to know if the church exists. Cities that birthed the gospel now house ornate mosques, temples, and skyscrapers. Thankfully, the church is experiencing a captivating resurgence among this region's 520 unengaged and unreached people groups.
Millions of refugees live here, displaced by war, famine, oppression, or poverty. Many are open to the gospel, seeking an anchor amid the upheaval of their lives. Pray for Christian workers as they share the hope of the gospel during this unprecedented spiritual openness.
