There are approximately a half a million people living in the Dandora Slums. One of the 3 largest slums in Nairobi. It has grown up beside the city landfill. Many of the residents make their living from picking through the garbage. Gangs, drugs, poverty and alcoholism are all factors creating a harsh living environment.
Dandora Baptist Church is a thriving community of believers living in the middle of the Dandora Slum. They have multiple ministries serving and helping those in the area. Primary schools, vocational schools, Medical clinics as well as Ministerial training are all a part of the outreach from Dandora Baptist Church.
