Birkenau memorial

Flowers in the shape of the Star of David rest as a memorial on the end of the tracks where Nazi trains delivered more than a million Jews to their deaths in the Birkenau camp. Jews around the world remember the Holocaust and the impact on their national heritage, often visiting Southern Poland and Auschwitz-Birkenau. (photo by Kelvin Joseph)
