There are approximately a half a million people living in the Dandora Slums. One of the 3 largest slums in Nairobi. It has grown up beside the city landfill. Many of the residents make their living from picking through the garbage. Gangs, drugs, poverty and alcoholism are all factors creating a harsh living environment.
Dandora Youth Football Club operates within Dandora. Many of it’s players have gone on to play in national and international competition.
