Mass Grave

Marked only by a piece of a paper, lies the resting place of 24 unidentified refugees and migrants whose bodies were reclaimed from the Mediterranean Sea in 2015. The Addoloratta Cemetery where they are buried is Malta’s largest, historic cemetery and is full of elaborately decorated graves and imposing tombs of generations of Maltese families.
