Mosque in Bole

Aerial view (from northwest) of the historic, Sudano-Sahelian mud mosque in Bole, Northern Region, Ghana. Oral tradition puts the construction of the mosque in the 18th century, however historical events and recent radiocarbon dating suggest the current structure was built in the early 20th century.
