There are approximately a half a million people living in the Dandora Slums. One of the 3 largest slums in Nairobi. It has grown up beside the city landfill. Many of the residents make their living from picking through the garbage. Gangs, drugs, poverty and alcoholism are all factors creating a harsh living environment.
Kids from a school which is a partnership between local churches in Dandora. They divide the kids into different ages, younger ones to one school and older to the other.
