Protopyramid

The Pyramid of Djoser, known as the “step pyramid” or proto-pyramid was the first Egyptian pyramid to be built. It was built around 2600 BC and consists of six mastabas built atop one another. It is considered to be the earliest large-scale cut stone construction.
