This castle-like chedi has been under construction for the years. It overlooks the small village of Ban Pong near Chiang Mai, Thailand. The ornate structure itself houses a much older chedi that has sat on the mountain-top for more than 400 years. A trail leads down the mountain to Wat Ban Pong, a Buddhist temple in the valley below. It is estimated that it will take several more years to complete the structure.
