Waiting for 6:39PM

During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslims fast throughout daylight hours. This man sits patiently awaiting the start of the communal Iftar meal that breaks the day’s fast. On this particular day he, and fellow worshippers, were permitted to break the day’s fast at exactly 6:39PM, their first food and drink since 4:33AM that day. The exact time varies by geographic location and the daily position of the sun.
