The team will participate and explore opportunities that involve entry, evangelism, discipleship, leadership devopment and church planting. This city is 6 million people, with the predominant religion being Folk-Catholicism, meaning many grow up in the Catholic Church with a twisted view of who God is and a works-based mindset with religion. It is a temperate, high desert climate, with temperatures that can range from the mid 50s to the upper 80s.
Go Experience – An IMB volunteer pathway designed to provide churches with a short-term mission trip as a gateway opportunity with hands-on ministry experience, pre-trip training, and onsite training. A crucial element is vision-casting during the trip provided by the field–offering next steps to continue as a partner with the missionary team and/or the affinity. The trip packages the field connection, travel arrangements, finances, registration, and training. Trips are hosted by IMB missionary teams who plan the ministry, make the local arrangements, and conduct training for the group as part of the trip.
