NT: Fun English Teaching Outreach to University Students (2027)

Description

On a small team, you will help fulfill the church-planting vision of our local team by making connections with students on campus at a local university. You will lead fun English learning activities like cooking classes, stand-up paddle board lessons, crafts, game nights, and more at our local community center and/or on the university campus. You will also have the opportunity to teach basic, easy-to-teach, foundational English classes in various locations. These English classes are a fun and engaging way for you to meet an important need in Southern Thailand while building relationships and sharing the Gospel. You will also have the opportunity to learn Thai language and culture, help outreach among local church fellowships, and to be able to share the Good News through personal relationships.

Your first stop will be a joint orientation with other Nehemiah Teams at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. Learning the skills needed to carry out your assignment as well as team building will fill these first few days. Your team will fly to your final destination for the summer. Following your summer of ministry, you will return to the US for a joint debrief… sharing all God has done over the summer. Participants must commit to the entire program from orientation through the end of debrief.

Other Requirements

Nehemiah Teams – An 8 week summer opportunity for students over the age of 18. Nehemiah Teams train prior to service in Alabama and return to Alabama at the end of the summer for debriefing.
