DESCRIPTION
"It's more fun in the Philippines!" is the country's tourism slogan. Even while you work, you will have fun getting to know Filipinos. As a team, you will work together on various construction/farm projects at the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center while you learn the history of how God has used this research farm to impact over 90 nations around the world. Spend time in local villages, learning about culture while sharing your lives & the Gospel through drama, music & kids classes. You might also get your hands dirty while helping on a local farm! Spend your day off visiting a local beach or swimming in a natural cold spring. The Philippines is still a harvest field so come help us harvest. The Philippines is also becoming a harvest force. Your presence & what you do will help the local churches become better senders to the nations. After being accepted to this project, students & adult leaders will be placed on ministry/work teams of 4-5. Adults will be required to complete pre-field leader training (via email/on-line). Participants will have preparation assignments before attending orientation from June 5-June 9 at the Nehemiah Teams Training Center in Mentone, Alabama. On June 10, your team will be transported directly to the Birmingham airport to start your journey to the Philippines. Following your arrival at the Davao International Airport, you will be transported 2 hours south to the Mindanao Baptist Rural Life Center. This will be home for the duration of your trip. Upon completion of your project, you will have a 2 day on-field debrief with other NT4Teens before flying home to America.
