Outreach to the Deaf: Central Asia

Description

Hearing volunteers with strong ASL proficiency will partner with a M who is building relationships within the Deaf community of Central Asia. This outreach focuses on hearing individuals using their signing skills to engage directly with Deaf communities—building bridges, fostering trust, and communicating with clarity and respect across cultures. You will engage with individuals in a variety of settings, including:

* Cultural experiences (local exploration and learning)
* Small group and one-on-one meet-ups
* Large community gatherings (Deaf clubs, Deaf church)
* Support activities (prayer walking and field research)

Through these experiences, you will have the opportunity to:

* Encounter a new culture and signed language firsthand
* Build meaningful relationships within Deaf communities
* Share your personal story and faith
* Communicate the Gospel cross-culturally
* Serve alongside local believers and ministry partners
* Develop your signing skills by diving deep into descriptive sign structures.
