Come to Oaxaca and make an eternal impact in the lives of the next generation. Oaxaca is home to thousands of young people without a relationship with a maturing Christian friend. Many see the peace-filled, abundant Christian life as something out of reach. These students are trapped in a traditional religion based on earning salvation and they wake up each day with no assurance of eternal life. Come walk with Christ and walk with them so that they can walk with Him, too. The Father will use your interests and career path to impact lives for His Glory. Come join an experienced team of IMB missionary mentors in the greatest work in the universe!
Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
