Our team needs your help to Saturate Osaka with the Gospel. College students in our city are curious about American culture, love speaking English, and increasingly open to the Gospel. Osaka is a mega-city with about the same population as Houston, but with less that 0.5% having a relationship with Jesus. Most have never heard the Good News, nor do they have any Christian friends to tell them. We need social, flexible, mission-minded young people to visit one of our 11 college campuses in our city and make friends, invite them to events, attend church with them, and lead them in Bible studies. Join our existing college ministries while also pioneering new fields of harvest within the 2nd largest unreached people group in the world! Residency – An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
