DESCRIPTION

Serving with Kingdom Refugee Care (KRC) will give you the chance to step into ministry among some of the world’s most vulnerable. Based in Southeast Asia, KRC equips and mobilizes the church to serve in the refugee community through holistic, gospel-driven care --- including education, discipleship, and community. Residents will teach, mentor, and build relationships with young people who are longing for stability, hope, and belonging while also undertaking specific projects aligned with their skills and interests. More than a program, this is hands-on ministry where your faith will be stretched, your worldview expanded, and your gifts used for the sake of the gospel.

Other Requirements

  • Residency - An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general. Application deadlines: Fall Residency trips: deadline to apply is May 1. Spring Residency trips: deadline to apply is October 1.
