DESCRIPTION

Do you have an interest in learning languages and reaching university students? In our city, we have an increasing number of university students coming to study. At this time in a person’s life, they are learning to be independent, shaping their personal worldviews, and can be soft towards the Good News, so why not consider investing in your interests among the university students here in Central Asia. During your semester abroad you would be taking beginner language courses at the university and engage students on your campus. Create friendships with students, connect people with our team for follow-up, and help us find new ways to better engage the youth of Central Asia. We are excited to partner with you!

Other Requirements

  • Residency - An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy, which includes travel to/from Orientation/Debrief at ILC, room and board at Orientation/Debrief, travel to/from the field and emergency insurance. There is no subsidy for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Residency trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Residency program, in general.
