This is a great opportunity to stretch your understanding of summer ministry with a full range of tasks. Our summer staff receive pre-trip training and training on the field in Leadership, EV, Mentoring, Leading Devotionals, Distribution of Christian Material, Prayer Walking, rudimentary language skills, and a basic overview of Islam. Our summer staff lead volunteer teams participating in 10-day ev/distribution ministry trips reaching NA Mus. They work distribution sites near the port and at various city locations on rotating 2 hr shifts starting as early as 3 am. Responsibilities include mentoring, modeling, discipling of volunteers, and overseeing needs at an assigned distribution site 5-6 days per week, encourage volunteers, and actively participate in evangelism and distribution of Ar-bc New Testaments and Jesus films and gathering statical information from contacts made with believers and non-believers, to help permanent workers in the city better understand the needs of their communities. Based on individual talents, our summer staff would also assist in leading worship, administrative tasks and driving (Musical: vocal, instruments, leading worship in song; Administrative: Office organizational skills, data entry/IT; Transportation: large city navigation, vehicle w/standard transmission; etc.). Potential summer staffers need to be comfortable navigating and getting around on public transport in a major city, be flexible and teachable, able to lead groups of people of various ages, and desire to see NA Mus. come to Christ.
