DESCRIPTION

Have a heart for the lost? Join us in reaching one of the most unreached people groups, the Deaf! Deaf people have their own language and culture. Our hope is that you will come join our team this summer as we train you to share the gospel, tell your story, and reach the lost. You will have opportunities to help host events and you will be a welcoming presence to the Deaf. You will also be out in the city, meeting Deaf through other activities like soccer and meals together. You may also have opportunities to travel to other parts of the country with our team to find the lost and share the gospel with them. The dates of this trip are flexible.

Other Requirements

  • Hands On - An opportunity to serve on mission for one or two semesters while being mentored by an IMB field missionary. Timeframes vary based on location. Active members of Southern Baptist churches receive a subsidy making their price between $3,950 - $6,950 depending on length of service. See trip information for exact price. This cost includes airfare, emergency insurance, visas, and field costs. The cost is double for applicants who are not members of a Southern Baptist Church. All monies raised or donated in excess of the stated cost of this particular Hands On trip will be used to offset the additional, subsidized field cost expenditure for the student. These monies may also be used to supplement the broader cost of ministry related to the Hands On program, in general.
