American cars were imported to Cuba for around 50 years, since the early 20th century. After the Cuban Revolution, the U.S. enacted an embargo and Fidel Castro banned the importation of American goods, leading to the present, where there is an abundance of vintage and classic American vehicles still being driven in the country.
