A man herds sheep through the hills of the small village called Sille just outside of Konya, Turkey. The church in the background is Aya Eleni Church, one of the oldest Greek churches in Turkey. Sille was one of the few villages where the Cappadocian Greek language was spoken until 1922, and it was inhabited by Greeks who coexisted peacefully with the nearby Turks of Konya for more than 800 years.
