An American Christian doctor performs heart bypass surgery at the Baptist Medical Center in Asunción, Paraguay, one of the country’s leading hospitals. In July 1996, Paraguay’s first successful heart transplant was performed at this medical center, and a few days later the patient accepted Christ. About 16,000 patients a month receive treatment through the hospital, and all of them hear the gospel.
