Old Soviet-style apartment buildings line the perimeter of Zaqatala, a city in northwestern Azerbaijan. The city is ethnically diverse, including residents from the Inghiloi, Avar and Tsakhur people groups, the majority of whom are Muslim but some identify as Orthodox Christians.
