New missionaries Dr. Lorne and Virginia Brown arrive with their family in Bahrain to begin studying Arabic in
1949. They were the second FMB family appointed to Jordan and were there until 1958. The Browns also served in Tanzania, Rhodesia, Uganda, and Kenya before they retired in 1984.
