Missionary Edwin B. Dozier baptizes believers in Tamagawa, Japan. In 1946, Dozier was the first Southern Baptist missionary to return to Japan after World War II. By the end of 1954, 100 Southern Baptist missionaries were under appointment for Japan, where there was a new openness to Christianity.
