(an-uh-TOHL-yuh) - Laura is an elderly woman who, unlike many in the country where she lives, has been a believer for over 30 years. She is a member of a local fellowship but rarely attends. Please pray that she will continue to grow in her faith and come to church when she is able, and ask that the members of her local body will be an encouragement to her.

Please pray for Easter ministry events that are happening this month. Missionaries will be hosting and participating in these community events, sharing the greatest good news -- the gospel. Please pray for people who attend these events to have open hearts to the gospel and for everything to run smoothly.

(pri-TOR-ee-uh) - "The strands of red, white, and blue beads around her wrists immediately caught my attention as she sat the pitcher of water on the table. After the meal, she came to collect the dishes, and I ventured to ask her the meaning of the beads. She began tentatively, 'I have a gift.' Then with more confidence, 'The blue beads mean that I have a water spirit. The red and white beads represent the spirits of my ancestors on my father's and mother's side. I can see visions and receive messages from my ancestors, and they tell me what to do.' I began gently, wanting to reach her and not offend her. 'I encourage you to be careful. Sometimes these spirits deceive people. I encourage you to pray to Jesus.' 'Oh yes!' she quickly replied. 'I pray every night,' she declared without mentioning the name of Jesus. Please pray for this young woman, Vicky, and thousands like her in Pretoria. These types of colored beads are usually worn only by 'sangomas,' traditional healers who claim they can heal people through their interaction with ancestor spirits. Pray for these women to see visions of Jesus instead and respond by turning to Him!"

"God, You are my God; I eagerly seek You. I thirst for You in a land that is dry, desolate, and without water. I gaze on You and see Your strength and glory. Your faithful love is better than life. You satisfy me. I will praise You as long as I live. I think of You during the night because You are my helper. Close to You, in the shadow of Your wings, You hold on to me" (Psalm 63). God, You never let go of us. We are thirsty for more of You. As You poured out Your Spirit at Pentecost, fill our church and all churches throughout Taiwan with Your glory. May we always find our satisfaction in You because Your love is better than life itself. You cover us and strengthen us. Now we ask You to give us victory. We ask this for Your glory and for Your church. Lead on, King Eternal, and we will eagerly follow.

North Africa/Middle East Refugees in the Diaspora

While waiting for a streetcar in their city, two believers met an immigrant named Mahib from a country they hoped to visit in the near future. This trip created an instant connection with Mahib, and the believers asked him what they should do on their visit. Mahib was excited to talk about his home country and quickly became fast friends with the believers. He asked what the believers were doing next, and one of them used the opportunity to invite Mahib to get coffee with them. While enjoying their time together drinking coffee, Mahib shared about his country, his family, and his culture. One of the believers dove deeper into the conversation and asked about Mahib's religion. The believer and Mahib talked about how his religion and Christianity have similarities, but the main difference is what they believe about Jesus. The believer tried to explain the gospel and how Jesus died for our sins. Mahib did not seem very interested, but he seemed ecstatic to have new friends in the city. Please pray that the believers and Mahib will be able to meet again and, most importantly, that Mahib will come to know Jesus as his Savior and Lord.

Pray for Devnand. He has been presented with the gospel many times. He seemed captivated by the Bible stories that a group of women shared with him over several months. He studied Paul's letters in contrast with a book on Hindu beliefs and spoke highly of the Bible passages he read. However, he has chosen at this time to remain Hindu. Pray that God's Word will continue to grow in Devnand's heart.

Muslims of Northeast India

Many believers are nervous about sharing the gospel with Muslims in Northeast India. Ask the Lord to give these brothers and sisters in Christ boldness and a desire to proclaim the name of Jesus to their Muslim neighbors and friends. Pray for there to be more and more opportunities for believers to be equipped and encouraged to reach out to their Muslim neighbors.

Muslims of China

Located near the airport in Sanya on Hainan Island are the Utsat, a small unreached people group of about 8,500 people known locally as the Huihui. They identify as part of the Hui minority group in China, but they are distinct. They trace their ancestry back to Malaysia, Cambodia and/or Vietnam in the 18th or 19th century. They were Muslim when they arrived on Hainan Island about 400 years ago and have never wavered from their beliefs. Over the years, Muslim teachers have traveled from Malaysia to teach the Utsat the tenets of Islam and how to read Arabic. Pray that the Utsat would hunger and thirst for the truth of the God's gospel. Pray that they will want to read the Bible and hide God's word in their hearts. Pray that the Utsat will trust Jesus and find their identity as children of the one true God.

Jewish Diaspora Worldwide

(die-AS-puh-ruh) - Many Jewish people are returning to their homeland because of the rising antagonism against them across the world. They are confused and a bit frightened by how quickly this has happened again. The often-heard saying of "never again," referring to the horrible holocaust of World War II, is front and center in their minds and hearts. Some holocaust survivors have had terrible nightmares and even have vocalized how they thought this would never happen again. To them, it is happening again, especially those older survivors who went through so much and are so close to meeting the only One who can save them forever. The Jewish people worldwide need and desire your prayers. Please pray for these people who are shaken to their core. And because the "spirit of Haman," the evil man in the Book of Esther, seems to have risen again, they need the Son to help them, and they need to know who He is once and for all.

"We are super excited that several of the believers from the Yacu people group are participating in a four-month-long training that includes theological training, in-depth Bible study, and a cross-cultural practicum. This training kicked off on February 26. Please bathe this training in prayer. Believers from other indigenous people groups are participating, as well. Our prayer is that this training will impact the growth and depth of indigenous churches throughout the western Amazon Basin and beyond."

Austrians of Austria

Please pray for IMB team members in Austria as they seek to engage their communities with the gospel in the weeks leading up to Easter. As with Christmas in Austria, Easter is a holiday that has been emptied of its spiritual significance and is celebrated purely for tradition's sake. Pray for boldness for believers to share how the resurrection of Jesus changes everything, and for receptive hearts to hear the good news.

(ab-i-JAHN) - Please pray Romans 12:1-2 (ESV) for workers on the field, asking that they will "present [their] bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God." Pray that they will "not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of [their] mind" by abiding in Christ through the daily reading of God's Word and prayer. Pray that they will be able to "discern what is the will of God."
